Mission Bay
Block 4E

New Homes for
San Francisco Families

MB4E is an exciting new development that will bring much-needed affordable housing to the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco.

Developed by Curtis Development and Bayview Senior Services, this project is designed to create a welcoming, vibrant community for families in a thriving neighborhood.

The project will consist of two high-rise buildings offering 400 new homes designed for San Franciscans, including those who have been displaced by past redevelopment actions. These homes will be available to families who earn 30% to approximately 95% of the area’s median income. A portion of the homes will be set aside for families with direct experiences of homelessness who are referred through San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. Residents will have access to a robust services package and a host of amenities, including community green spaces.

Pending financing availability, Phase I of the development—165 apartments—will begin construction in early 2027 and leasing in 2029, while Phase II—approximately 235 apartments—will begin construction in 2028 and leasing in 2030.

Creating a Community, Not Just Buildings

MB4E is about more than just providing homes—it’s about creating a community where families can grow, connect, and thrive. Mission Bay is home to the state-of-the-art UCSF medical campus and sporting and entertainment venues where the Bay Area’s excellence is on full display. Future residents will have easy access to public transit, parks, services, and places of employment. The MB4E team brings extensive experience in designing communities that bring out the best in their surrounding neighborhoods. MB4E will be developed to maximize impact and leverage community resources to create a place where San Franciscans can be proud to call home.
